Botanical Art 2-Day Watercolour Workshop
at Scratch Art Space, Marrickville NSW
After the successful Simply Watercolour workshop I taught at Scratch Art Space in Marrickville back in November 2015, I am pencilled in to teach a 2-day weekend Botanical Art watercolour painting workshop there in the second half of 2016 with the final dates yet to be confirmed.
This workshop is intended to be an introduction to the wonderful world of botanical art and being spread over two days, will allow students the time to draw their chosen flower or other plant subject and colour it with watercolour paints to hopefully produce a finished botanical painting by the end of the weekend, or at least be at the stage where they feel confident to finish it at home. This workshop is suitable for absolute beginners or students with previous drawing and watercolour experience.
To express interest in attending this workshop, and to take advantage of the early bird registration discount, please see the Scratch Art Space website:

Watercolour Workshops at The Bakehouse Studio
Marrickville NSW
I have organised with The Bakehouse Studio at 54 Renwick Street in Marrickville to teach regular Wednesday 3-hour watercolour painting workshops on their premises.
The first workshop, Introducing Watercolours, is scheduled for Wednesday 9 March 2016 from 10am–1pm. Other workshop topics to be covered in following weeks include: Travel Sketching & Diaries; Easy Flowers; and Interiors & Still Life.
These workshops are designed to show that working with watercolours can be simple and will be suitable for absolute beginners, students with previous drawing and watercolour experience, or students who have used oils or acrylics and are interested in trying this versatile medium.
I am also looking into holding occasional weekend workshops and am available for individual tuition (by appointment) with a venue and dates to be announced.

The other is the Annual ASMA Awards Exhibition which will open in early August 2016 at the Ewart Gallery in Willoughby NSW.
There will be more details about both of these exhibitions over the coming months.
