An enjoyable, easy & relaxing way to be creative!

After a wonderful time spent travelling in Japan during August and early September I am now back and looking forward to holding my regular Casual Classes/Open Studios with two Watercolour Workshops coming up in October.

CASUAL WATERCOLOUR & DRAWING CLASSES/OPEN STUDIOS
These Casual Classes/Open Studios are open to all ages and skill levels from absolute beginners to those with more experience. You can work on any subject, style or technique you are interested in doing with my help and guidance or you may have your own project but enjoy working in the company of others. I am able to teach all styles and techniques from detailed botanical drawing and painting through to abstract. You are welcome to bring something from home if you wish and each week I provide inspiration eg, fresh flowers, still life subjects and other items – I also have an extensive range of photographic reference and books that cover every topic and technique. Work at your own pace – it’s just meant to be an enjoyable and relaxing way to spend a couple of hours!
*$40 if you bring your own art materials or $45 if you need me to supply all these – includes a morning tea which I provide – and beginners are welcome! I also offer 5- and 10-Class Discount Class Passes for regular students with their own art materials.
*Regular students with a Discount Class Pass can use one credit from the pass for any Casual Class/Open Studio.

OCTOBER WATERCOLOUR WORKSHOPS

‘PAINTING A FESTIVE SEASON CARD’
THURSDAY 15 October, 10.30am-1.00pm

To coincide with the 2026 Craft Week from 9-18 October, I will be holding a Thursday morning Watercolour Workshop at Monster Mouse Studios in Marrickville. With the Festive Season approaching, this will be a fun and easy workshop to create your own special Festive Season card image to give to a family member or friend – or you may even decide to have some cards printed with your own unique design.

$70 – All art materials and Festive Season reference supplied for your inspiration so there is no need for you to bring anything at all – cost includes a morning tea and is suitable for all levels – beginners are very welcome! PLEASE NOTE: Regular students who have their own art materials and one of my Discount Class Passes can use two credits for this workshop. EARLY BIRD OFFER of $60 Available till Monday 5 October if payment and booking confirmation is received by midnight – thereafter the cost is $70.

‘JAPANESE GARDENS in SUMMER’

One of the real highlights of my recent travels around Japan was visiting many of the beautiful gardens attached to shrines, temples and castles. It was late summer when I was there so although there no cherry blossoms or autumn colour at that time of year the gardens had their own special beauty with such a wonderful array of greenery. I took a lot of photographs while wandering around these delightful places that I’m sure will inspire you too. Sip on a glass of Prosecco (or non-alcoholic drink) while you paint – a relaxing and creative way to spend a Sunday afternoon!

LATE CANCELLATIONS/REFUND POLICY: To cover my preparation time plus the costs for the venue hire; supplying art materials and providing reference material and refreshments – I require where possible a minimum of 24 hours’ notice if you are cancelling. Depending on the circumstances there will be no refund of the booking fee for a cancellation received less than 24 hours prior to a class, open studio or workshop.
