About me and news

Welcome to my website. I have taken part in a number of group exhibitions and have also had 4 solo exhibitions of my work.

‘UNDER PRESSURE’ Group Printmaking Exhibition finishes

Gallery Red’s annual printmaking exhibition, ‘Under Pressure’, which featured 3 of my linocut prints (here I am standing next to them on the opening night) finished on 25 February 2014 and was a really interesting exhibition with a variety of styles and techniques used by the exhibiting artists.

My solo exhibition ‘Inspiration & Observation’, which ran from 4 December 2013 till 5 February 2014 at the Eden Gardens Art Gallery, at the Eden Gardens Garden Centre, North Ryde, NSW, was a success and I sold 16 of the artworks on show.

  1. Hi Padaek, thank you for your kind words about my artwork and new website. The image you thought were 3 fish are actually 3 eggs of the US native warbler in a nest which they make from Spanish moss (Tillandsia usneoides).

    1. Hi Pam! Thank you although no, I’m not referring to the egg painting (although it’s very beautiful too). I’m referring to the three fish on the plate with the tomatoes, eggplant etc (second from the bottom). The reason why I ask is that I recently read on a website that said that stinging nettle can be cooked and eaten.

  2. Hi Pam!

Congratulations on your new website! It looks great!! I really love your artworks. I first discovered them at Garden Amateur’s website (great garden blog by the way!) and I’m so happy to see them each time. I’ve tried painting with watercolours before but I did not have enough patience or concentration for it. Watercolour is less forgiving I think, for me at least. All of your artworks on this post are beautiful. That lotus painting is incredible! The one with the three fish – is that stinging nettle or mint? Etsy’s a wonderful site for artists! Wishing you and Jamie a marvellous and safe festive season. 🙂

  3. Thanks for your comment, Helen. By coincidence, we’ve just heard about Etsy.com only recently, and so, after the current exhibition finishes early next year, we’re going to put some of my pieces on Etsy.
