The first 2 weeks of working on ’31 Days’

Week 2 has now come to an end and today I begin to make a serious start on Week 3. To follow what I am doing during the period leading up to the exhibition opening on Friday 5 September go to:

And another week begins. I find that printing out scans of work completed so far and then laying everything out on the kitchen floor really helps to give me an overview of how it’s all coming along and what direction to head in for the week ahead.

Making a start on some ideas to get into over the next couple of days.

Flying Fox Pop-up Shop/Mother’s Day High Tea/Gift Ideas

After a successful period of having my artwork exhibited at the Mia O Designs pop-up shop, I now have some of my work on display and for sale at another pop-up shop, Flying Fox, also located in the Italian Forum, Shop 9, 23 Norton Street Leichhardt.

Flying Fox is run by Laura Cole who designs an original line of young children’s clothing and gifts and as well as my artwork the shop also sells work by other artisans and designers including jewellery, leatherware, furniture/homeware items and handcrafted soaps and candles.

Also located in the Flying Fox shop is Yellowseed Photography run by Amanda Owen who specialises in photographing children. You can see some of her lovely work at: https://www.yellowseed.co

With Laura’s children’s clothes and Amanda’s children’s photographs it’s the perfect combination for a special Mother’s Day High Tea (see details below) they are putting on this Saturday, May 10 from 11-1pm, along with Paris Floyd next door in Shop 10. So come along to see some of my work and support local artisans and designers. And you just might find that special gift for Mum too!
